Elder McKay, Mic Drop

Hey yo, everyone! I hope you have all had a good week because I have! This week we were able to get transfer news and guess what…I am staying! But I am training, what?? I can't believe they trust me with a green soul, a greeny! Oh when I heard I was so excited it is going to be so much fun and I have amazing wards to do it in! I have an amazing district that is going to be moral support and life is good! But I get to move into another apartment so guess what the trend is still going and I am still packing, hehe!

I have had the most amazing week. We had Elder and Sister McKay of the seventy come

to do a mission tour of our mission! It was a three day mission tour on Zoom, the official name was Elder McKay’s Three Day Mission tour. It was so cool! And let me tell you he is a captivating speaker so motivating, I love him and his wife so much! Everyday I was so spiritually fed and got so much out of it! I felt like wonder women like I could do it all! And

we did, the first day he invited us to go and cast out our nets and to gather in so many that our nets would break. So what did I do? I did just that! I was determined to make it happen, and that night we found 7 people! Four in Spanish and three in English. It felt so good! We went back the next day for our second day of Elder McKays Tour, he was asking everyone their miracles, so I decided to share. When I told him what we did and what we did to make it happen his mouth dropped and he said Sister Jackson and her companion oh my that is amazing and then he did a mic drop. Haha it was awesome. He was so impressed

and didn't know what to say, I loved it and it felt so good. The rest of the conference he kept bringing it up, it was so much fun to be able to share that with everyone and be able to help the mission grow. We then were able to go in person the last day and let me tell you he is amazing. Giving us the opportunity to learn and grow then apply it. And then it was super cool, I asked him if he knew John A. McCune and he does. We know some of the same people, it was cool to connect with that. And we were able to get a picture with him. I was so spiritually fed this week it was amazing to feel and get help on how I can become a better missionary!

One of my favorite quotes that Elder McKay said was, "What I have done before I can do again, what I’ve done again I can do consistently, what I do consistently I can improve upon!"

Also this week we were able to have a lesson with Samantha and set her on DATE! She is getting baptized on June 12th, I am so proud of her and her decision to follow God!

We had our last district council and it was so good, we did a testimony meeting at the end! What everyone shared was so inspiring to me and helped me know that it is all because of Jesus Christ! That man that I love so much! Because of him I have a home I feel loved and know that I can do all things with and through Christ!

I love my district so much. They are all so amazing and have made some good friends and hope to stay in contact with some of them!

I am excited for a new transfer and to see what happens! It is going to be amazing and I get to work with some amazing people! I am so ready!

We also made an Insta care visit this week but all is well no one got hurt I just got to spend 2 hours in the car all by myself. My companion has exercise induced asthma. So that was interesting!

I want to share with you all one of my favorite Atonement scriptures that I was reminded about this week! Mosiah 14: 4-7

4 Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he opened not his mouth.”

What powerful scriptures, the message that He was willing to give his Son and God had to remove himself from the situation because He knew Christ had to finish the will of the Father.  Now think what does that mean to me? How am I blessed because of it? And how does he love me? I mean He loves you a lot! I hope you all know how amazing you are and hope you all have an amazing week!

Love ya, Bye!

Hey Y'all

Hello everyone, I hope you have all had a good week! School is almost out and it is almost summer!

This week has been a crazy fun week. We finally got out of our apartment that had no AC and we moved! We spent some of the day driving in Henderson to pick up keys and then a long night of packing and getting everything cleaned up.

We were able to have interviews with Prez. this week and how fun it is to be able to see them and be able to talk with him!

We also had mini exchanges and that was a blast! It is so much fun to be able to go with our STL's and be able to teach and street contact with them. Learning new teaching styles and how I can improve and become a better missionary.

Then one thing that was amazing this week is that we were able to go to a baptism for someone that we know. We were able to take 3 people that we were teaching. Perry, Ron, and Joseph. (Joseph was someone that we found this week and is really excited to learn more!) They all came with one of the members and were able to stay for the baptism and the talks. They had some amazing talks at the baptism both on the restoration and the plan of salvation, and what is so much fun is that is what we have been teaching them about. So they got to hear different testimonies and understand why we get baptized. We had some other fellowship come with us that have been coming to our lessons. Then the next day Perry and Joseph came to church, we were able to explain that after we are baptized we come each week to church to partake of the sacrament and be able to renew our covenants and promises that we make with God. We asked them what they liked about it at the end and they said everything, they loved it all. And then Joseph turned to us and said I had this weird tingling and warm feeling. It was weird but I liked it… Joseph that is the Holy Ghost, he felt it and I can't wait to have our next lesson to talk about it more!

We were also able to have a lesson with Samantha this week, she is someone that a member is bringing. We had a lesson that was more of a getting to know her and what she likes to do and what she believes. Well, it turns out that she is ready to be baptized and feels like this is the only church that can give her everything that she wants! She is so cute and promising and I can't wait to help her more. She also was able to go to youth conferences with the stake and loved it. She is just getting her foot in the door, and I love it!

We were able to go and do some more service this week. It felt really good to get out of the house and be able to help someone else. It was the hoarder and her house is not where it needs to be but it is looking way better! She is so cute and crazy we love her!

Nothing too crazy this week. We have been able to see little miracles after miracles and I love it so much!

This week I want to share with you all D&C 50:16

Behold ye shall answer this question yourselves; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto you; he that is weak among you hereafter shall be made strong.

And the cross reference that I have is Ether 12:27

And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

And I love how similar they are and how much God loves each and everyone of us! Knowing he gives us trials in our lives for a reason and they are here to help us and to make us grow. I heard a cute little boy say that he was grateful for his challenges. They are able to learn and grow from them and make them stronger! And that is the mind set that I need to have. We are given things for a reason and God knows why, so we need to trust him and turn to him during this time and use the Atonement in our lives to make us stronger. I believe that God gives us things that we maybe feel we can't take or can’t handle so we will run to Him and ask for help, so with Him we will be able to get through all challenges. I love you all so much and hope that you have an amazing week and turn to our Savior and our father!

(Also, a little side note yesterday I hit my 8 month mark, how crazy is that!)

The Little Miracles, Coming Alive!!!

Hello everyone, I hope that it has been a good week for you! Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful women in my life! I am so blessed to have you and be able to look up to each and everyone of you. I hope yesterday was special and you got to have a nice relaxing day.

This past week has been a week full of little miracles. We started off the week with a lesson at Ron and Brandon’s, we were able to have a young man in the ward who is going on a mission come with us, his name is Nate.

It was a really good lesson and we scheduled to come back on Friday, fast forward to Friday, we felt inspired to invite another young man in our ward who we knew was deciding if he should go on a mission or wait. His name is Sam. (well, a few weeks ago we had a lesson with his family and talked about why we can on missions and what it has done for me!)

Well Sam came to the lesson and then Nate showed up with another kid in the ward who is preparing for a mission, Kent! Oh my goodness it was so amazing all of these young men have amazing testimony and are going to do great. There are two reasons that I share this with you guys, one we were talking about

personal revelation and we asked Nate and then Sam, and Sam shared how he found out through fasting and praying that he needed to go on a mission. How amazing is that, we love when people find out for themselves that they should serve a mission. Second, when we're talking about faith and repentance one of Ron and Brandon’s friends came out of the house

and looked at us, all of the sudden my companion said would you like to join us! He said yes and listened. The spirit was so amazing! We invited them all to come to church, and Perry the friend turned to us and said that I would love to come. We set up rides and Perry came to church. It was so amazing.

This goes into my second miracle, we haven't had people at church in a while and they have all been flaky. We'll this Sunday we had 3

people at church! Perry, he showed up in an amazing suit. (what he told our fellowship who picked him up was " You never know when you are going to need a suit so I always have one on hand" Haha it was amazing. Then a kid we took cookies and invited to church showed up and fellowship brought him again! And then a member brought her little niece in our ward who wants to learn more about the gospel. It was pretty amazing, God puts people and things in your life at a certain point because he knows that this is when they all needed to come!

We were also able to help a son, his mom is a hoarder, clean her house. Let's just say that we were there for a while and only got half of her garage, we didn't even step in her house. Good thing we are going back this week, it is so gross, there is so much that needs to be thrown away but that is why we are there to organize it and throw it all away! It was fun! We had some of the Elders with us and it is always a hoot

when they are there. We cleaned up her house and then killed one of her cactuses. The elders broke the cactus, but what else do you expect, just kidding?

A little more service at the end of the week for a lady in one of the elders wards and she had us sing karaoke at the end of it, oh my goodness it was so funny and fun to belt out some good songs!

I want to share with you guys this week Moses 1:39

39 For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man

For this is a work of an alight God and he picks imperfect people to do it, ask elder Holland would say'' That must be very frustration for him, but he deals with it" Haha God loves us enough that he was willing to give something perfect to a whole lot of people including me who is imperfect and share it with everyone. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is one of the most amazing things ever and we should remember how lucky we are to be able to have a plan that is here for us to make us become better. I know at the end of it all I don't want God to look at me and say why didn't you tell this person or why didn't you invite them. I would rather upset man than to ever upset God and Jesus Christ. It is through the Holy Ghost that

hearts are softened and we do all we can to at least plant a seed in someone and when they are ready to come unto the fold of God we are all there to love and support them! I hope that you are all continuing to be that light and share that with all that you can, because it is the most special gift in the world we shouldn't keep that to ourselves! I love you all so much and hope that you have the most amazing week ever!

Pictures

Hello everyone, this week has been full of fun and crazy and anything you can think of. Last week I forgot to mention that when we were on exchanges we got locked out of our house. Well we called some sister and she said do you have a gift card or a credit card? Well of course we do so I pulled it out and we shimmied it between the door and lock until we made our way into our apartment. Hehe it was so funny and helped us so we weren't out in the wild.

We were also able to have Zone Conference! We love Zone Conference, we were able to have a lot of good trainings and were able to visit with a lot of good people.

One of the other crazy things that happened this week was we decided to make a group chat of people and invite them to church. We were a little hesitant to do it but after the success of other people in our district we decided to

go ahead and try it. Well, we sent out a mass group text and all of the sudden people were so mad and wanting out of the group. I spent an hour trying and it wasn't working. So after more rude texts from people I apologized and kept going with my day and trying to figure it out. After a few threats I finally decided to get some help. I called my DL and we met up with

him and another Elder to try and figure it out. Come to find out stupid Samsung won't let you remove people from the group chat so I had to go and delete all of my texts and remove notifications so they would stop. Well that helped a little. A few more death threats and we had a dinner appointment we went in and had a yummy dinner and then we came out and the phone was slowing down but my heart and stomach were not slowing down, we got in the car and I had a breakdown. Things were figured out to the point that they could, but I was so nervous that people were going to shoot down the church Sunday. Our elders don't know how to handle a girl with emotions so they were so funny to talk to. But we went to bed and got up the next morning and went to church and everything was fine and nothing happened. But the elders come up to me and say look Sister Jackson nothing happened, haha elders. And my Mission President was there and he said "hey, we are all safe". Oh maybe I was worrying a little too much. But what do you do?!?!

One amazing thing that happened this last week and a half is when we were street contacting we found 8 people. Well I found 8 people in Spanish, I was able to talk to them all and invite them to come and learn more. It was so much fun to be able to use my Spanish and get to know more people. But 8 people! I was so happy. The last person that we found her name was Olivia. We were going to our can and she was walking her dog, we stopped and talked to her, she spoke Spanish so I was able to explain we go to this church right behind me and what we believe. She’s elect, she believes in angels, it was so cool to get to know her and hear her testimony! She is so cute and I can't wait to get to know her better.

This week I want to Invite you all go and read Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf talk from April 2010 "Continue In Patience". This is a talk that helped me with my week to understand the love that the Lord has for me but also the love that I can have for others. That as I continue to look towards God for help he will help me and strengthen me as I do my best. God loves effort and he will double your efforts as you continue.

I love you all and hope that you all have an amazing week! Let me know what you are up to. I would love to hear from you all! Nos Vemos!!!

The Last One!!!

I can't believe that this has come to an end, at the beginning I thought this day would never come and now look where I am at. I am so b...
