All the Fun Work!!!

HI everyone, I hope you have had a great week and are getting ready for the holiday!!! Whoot whoot we love Christmas!!!

This week has been crazy and busy; we have 4 new people that we are teaching, Gunner is from Iceland and he is living with a friend in the ward. We are going to try to get him baptized at the end of the month. He loves the gospel and knows this is something that is going to bless him in his life. He loves the Holy Ghost and the Plan of Salvation! He is in his 80’s and he is so cute and has an awesome accent and he only reads and writes Icelandic.

Sindy (that is the correct spelling) is living with a member so she is taking care of his child. She has met with the missionaries before and now living with this faithful member has helped her want to be baptized.

Juan and Jennifer came to church this week, we have taught them a few times. They loved church and have a lot of potential. I can't wait to see this little family baptized. They referred themselves and want a religion that they can do things as a family. THAT IS WHAT THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OFFERS!!! I am super excited for them!

We have gotten a lot of referrals and the week has been really good. I love my district and all new people, this p day we hike Frenchman mountain. This was a different hike but the same mountain we hiked on Thanksgiving! It was a lot of fun and the view is incredible! You have the city on one side and mountains and Lake Mead on the other side.

This week I want to share Moroni 10:23 "And Christ truly said unto our fathers: If ye have faith ye can do all things which are expedient unto me."

Short and sweet and what a powerful saying! Through Christ all things are possible, the hurt and the pain is all made right through Him.

I love you all and hope that you have a merry Christmas and turn your Christmas towards Christ.

It is CHRISTMAS TIME!!! I am so excited I love Christmas, and the holiday spirit that it brings to everyone.

This week has been a good one, we got the chance to set up two Christmas trees this week. One was for Kathy who we are teaching. We got to go over to her house twice because there were so many different decorations and dust. She has so many things in her house that we had to move a lot. But once it was all done it felt so nice and full of Christmas spirit. We then were able to go help Sister Perry just put up her tree so her daughter could decorate it. She is so cute and has so much history!

I got to make homemade tortillas. And let me say they are the best I have ever had, and they were so much fun to make. A lot of flour everywhere but it is all okay because where is the fun without the mess, right!?!?
We had quite a few lessons this week, we are trying to help Carlos receive the priesthood. I can't wait for him to be able to bless and pass the Sacrament! Then we have a new family that we are teaching, they live in the middle of no-where and they live in a trailer home, they are a cute little family. They referred to themselves and they had so many good questions! What is so cute is they want to read and come unto Christ as a family. How heartwarming!!! We were able to teach them the Plan of Salvation, they were really interested the whole time. I see
good things coming for this little family. And it feels good to know that they now understand that they can be with their family forever, how wonderful.
This week is transfers, I am staying in Sunrise Mountain with Sister Kriger. But Sister Schiess is leaving us and going to train just east of us for her last transfer. It was so much fun to be with her. I learned so much and loved all the laughs and inside jokes.
Also, quick update I got my staples out of my legs today! The

healing is coming but my legs look way better. I hope that you are all able to read your scriptures, especially this month with Christmas coming at the corner. I have come to love the Book of Mormon so much. It has given me answers that I could not have found anywhere else. One thing I have realized this last week is that when something happens to your testimony, you don't start from the bottom and try to gain your testimony all over again, but that you have a strong testimony already and you are building your testimony even stronger from the point that you are at.

Enos 1:8 " And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never seen. And many years pass away before he shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole."
What an amazing scripture, keep growing your faith to make it stronger. Because of faith you are where you are in life today. Because of faith you are safe in a warm house with people who love you. Because of faith you know that you are going to be able to live with your family forever. Never lose that faith, if you do, you can lose all you know.
I love you all so much hold on to the faith that you have and become stronger through him! Have an amazing week!
LOVE, Hermana Jackson

No a TINY TOILET and 13 Staples Later...

Well it has been 5 days since we have talked last, and it has felt like a full week. But let's just say it has been a crazy one!

This week we took Carlos on a church tour. It was so amazing, the spirit was so strong. It was so much fun showing someone a place that I have known and loved my whole life. Crazy the different perspectives you get when you are showing someone something new for the first time. The love you have for it grows. My favorite part was when we went into the nursery room and showed him in there, all of the sudden you here luz his girlfriend say come look at the little toilet all of the sudden you hear Carlos say " Nooo are you kidding, ah cute. No a baby sink!!!" it was so funny and cute. Then we went to the chapel and he got to bare his testimony to us. It was so amazing, the spirit was amazing. There are some good things going to happen for him and I can't wait to see it all happen.
The next most eventful thing that got me into a little trouble, is that I was a little too determined! Let's just say the people that know me know that you tell me to do something, there is a competition or a task at hand, I will finish it and try to be the fastest one. Let's just say my determination got me into a little trouble this week. We were working out and at the end, there was a little brick wall that starts out low and goes a little higher. I did some box jumps and thought well if I can do these then I am going to go a little higher. Well I was a little hesitant but was going to go for it. Well I didn't make it and hit my legs, tried to catch myself and fell on the ground. I had pants on and saw a little blood, I pulled my pants up and had one little cut on one of my legs and then a huge one on the other leg. We came home and cleaned
me up and we went to the Insta care closest to us. I got 9 staples in one leg and 4 in the other. I am going to have good scars but, the whole time I could see how God was blessing me. He had blessed me so much with the people and how I was feeling. When they put the staples in the didn't numb me and God blessed me to not hurt as much as it could have. And most of the people whole helped me where awesome, all around even though I was stupid God blessed me still.

This week I want to share Jacob 3:1, this scripture I read on Saturday when my accident happened and it has helped me with all that I have been asking for help with it says, " But behold, I, Jacob, would speak
unto you that are pure in heart. Look unto God with firmness of mind, and pray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will console you in your afflictions, and he will plead your cause, and send down justice upon those who seek your destruction. "
What an amazing verse of scripture no matter what God is going to be here for us it is just if we put our pride aside and open up.up. Prayer and faith is it just that easy? Yes it is crazy is that. God loves each and everyone of you and will help you fight the trials and the bad. He is the most amazing friend we all have. Please turn to him!

I hope you all have the chance to thank God for all you have and get
the opportunity to start light the world. I hope you all have an amazing week, love you all!!!  And it is CHRISTMAS TIME!!! So merry Christmas y'all!

Happy Thanksgiving (El día de acción de gracias!) everyone!!! I hope that you all get to spend it with the people that you love and get to stuff yourselves with amazing food, because that is the best part.

This week has been a crazy week, well let's be real that is how all of them are. My favorite thing this week is that I got to talk to Elder Jackson for the first time with both of us on a mission. It was so good to see him and talk to him. He is so amazing and has the light of Christ in him. He is so full of love for others and is such an amazing missionary. You gotta love that kid.

Las Vegas is getting worse with covid and they are starting to crack down on us. We are very lucky to not be on full lock down but we are being limited to ten people or less in a house or two households or less. So we are now doing more zoom calls and trying not to go to peoples houses. But the blessing of it all is we aren't in lock down!

Today for p-day we got to go on an amazing Thanksgiving hike. We went with a member in our ward, and get this, he had memorized the whole Book of Mormon. I think he is in his 70’s, what an amazing guy! He brought two women from China and another friend. Then it was us three and our district plus the zone leaders! It was so much fun we hiked to a cave in the mountain. It was really windy and cold the whole way up. I didn't realize that I kinda liked hiking and missed it. It is something that I would go and do with my mom and dad. So when I started the hike it reminded me of them.

Overall, it has been a crazy week and I don't have a lot of time to email.

But I hope that everyone got the chance to watch President Nelson message, if not, please go watch it, and remember the things you are grateful for.

This week has been a crazy good week for me. On Tuesday I was still doing alright and we had exchanges. So I knew that the night was going to get better, I was just trying to look up. We got there and I was with Hermana Harker and Hermana Shuman for the night. We went to a lesson and I thought I was in another world nothing made sense in Spanish. I got in the car and apologized because I didn't know what was going on and so I couldn't help. They gave me some comforting words and told me that I have other talents and I can show the members the gospel through love. That the language is going to come. Hermana Harker suggested a priesthood blessing. And I had nothing but a good feeling so I knew that is what the right thing to do. We called the elders and President Denis gave me the blessing. Let me tell you it was short but so so sweet. Just what I needed to hear, right when they put their hands on my head there was just silence and I could feel the warm start from my head and go through my whole body. After the blessing I have felt like myself and I have had a lot of peace. I have not been stressed as much and things have gotten better for me.

The lord works though so many different people and he has helped me so much. Because of that I have been doing better mentally, physically and emotionally. And I have felt like it has been one of my best weeks so far.

The lord uses others to help us, so if given the opportunity let someone serve you. It is for your benefit and theirs. That is something that I have had to learn out here is being truthful with how I feel and letting people know, but letting them help me.

WEDNESDAY WAS CARLOS'S BAPTISM. You guys it was so amazing, the spirit was so strong, even though it was a little crazy there were so many people there to support. The spirit was so strong. And then on Sunday he got confirmed. You can just see the light of the gospel in him. The desire that he has is amazing and I can wait till he can receive the priesthood. He is going to do some amazing things. After the baptism I got to go to a Mexican Fiesta and let me tell you they know how to party. Pina colada and good food, my kind of people.

This week we got street cart Elotes, I felt like I was in Nacho Libre, I loved it so much. And I got to say holding it and saying  'get that corn out of my face.' I felt like a true Latino, haha it was so much fun and so good. Let's just say I think I could be a Mexican, haha I love their food.

And this is for the people who know me and know that the Jacksons love their ceramic cat. I was in a member's house and I was looking at all her stuff. All of the decorations in her house and all of the sudden I looked and she had a ceramic cat on her floor. The first thing that popped into my head was to take a picture. I just had to for the family, if you know you know.

It has been a good week for me. Loving the good moments and can't wait for more.

I am going to share D&C 31:13 let me tell you, you should go and read this chapter if it is short but it is really powerful. And it has helped me a lot. It says… " Be faithful unto the end, and lo, I am with you. These words are not of man nor men, but of me, even Jesus Christ, your Redeemer, by the will of the Father. Amen."

This is such an amazing scripture knowing that during this time in the world that whatever happens, the difference that we have doesn't matter because in the end all that matters is God. Not man GOD! Because through him we can be saved, through him we can have eternal life, and through him we are perfected. I have so much love for the lord no words can describe it. Please if you have any questions, concerns, or are in need of help I will recommend my best friend, the only thing you have to do is ask for help and hit your knees. It is Jesus Christ, he loves you and wants to talk to you.

I love you all and hope you have an amazing week.

The Last One!!!
