Transfer Week!!!

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all having a good week! Transfer week and it was insane. It was so hard to say goodbye to Hermana Wright. We had a good night of crying and saying goodbye to members. On Tuesday I got my new companion, Sister Walker. She has been out for 8 months and guess what, she is leaving me in 3 weeks to her original assignment so I am going to get a new companion and we will see what will happen. I am a little scared but it will be good for me! So we will see how it goes.

But Monday night was so sad, we went around to all of these different members and said goodbye. It was way harder than I thought! She is so cute and I am going to miss her so much. On Tuesday morning we got all packed up and I took her and I picked up my new companion.

We went and visited a few of the members and then went to English class that night!!! It was a lot of fun and good to be able to see all of our students and start our new transfer!

Then on Wednesday we had a mission meeting and it was so good and inspirational. We are so excited to use what we have learned and apply it to the work in our area.

We then went and had a lesson with Tiffany. She is so cute and amazing and is going to make a new year's goal of helping her with the

word of wisdom. I am so happy for her and the things that she is doing!!! All of it is paying off for her!

We then took a little detour today, Sister Walker had to go and get all of her things for her Visa so we took a little trip to the east side to get all of that for her. It was fun, I miss it over there so much and didn't realize how much I would miss the gross smell and the marijana smell over there. We then had a crazy night. We went over to our branch president's house and got to see how they are doing. It is always so much fun to see them and how they are doing! I love them so much. We then went to a lady named Guadalupes, she is so cute. She made homemade tamales for us and they were so good! It was fun to get to know her and her family.

We went to our ward mission leaders and got to talk about how we can help the ward and that was a lot of fun. And then over to this cute family. It was the first time that we were able to get into their home and get to know them. They are so cute and are very active. It was fun to get to know them!

Thursday we went and had a service and taught English to Monica. She is so cute and is learning so much. I just have loved to get to know her and what she likes to do. It is also a lot of fun because she teaches us Spanish too, so it goes both ways!

Nothing too crazy, just a lot of calling and trying to get people to come to church! It has been a lot of fun. Just trying to find those who are ready for the gospel and praying for miracles.

Friday we had our first district council of the transfer, it was good and a lot of fun. We were able to get to know each other more. It is going to be a good transfer with them, I am excited. We then had a lesson with Sister Tyree. I love her so much it has been fun to meet with her. We were able to hear more of her stories which was a lot of fun!!!

We went and knocked a lot of doors and got to try to see how some of the members in our ward are doing! I loved Saturday so much, I

was able to go to Gaylene's baptism from my previous area. She did it, she got baptized! When I walked in she started crying and I just gave her this big hug. It was so so good to see her and how she is going! She deserves the best and I know that she is going to do amazing things. She just lights up my world and I am so happy that I got to be there. The whole time the spirit was so strong! I got to see all of my old members and see how they were doing. But then when she went down into the fount to be baptized I was overwhelmed

with the spirit. I just wanted to cry. I was able to help someone find that joy and the light of the gospel. To see her change and what it could do for her. I was there for her entire journey, I am so grateful for that. She has changed my life and I don't have enough words to describe how grateful I am to have had that experience! I love her so much!

We had a good day of studies and other things. And then that night we were able to have a lesson with Mike and help him with what he needs to get him ready for the next

steps. The priesthood and the temple! It was amazing and I am so blessed for it all! He is also amazing and just seeing the blessings of being a member already and it has been one week!

Sunday was a good day, being able to go to church and partake of the Sacrament was so amazing. Both wards and I am just loving the members so much and all that they are and have done to help me. In the Desert Bloom ward we had two friends there and then Serene also had 2. We are just trying to get them growing and help them in the ways that they need. We had dinner at the Christensens and they are amazing. I love them, we had a good meal and conversation.

Then we went to a Why I Believe devotional with Mike. It was so cool, the spirit was so strong. I love being able to

go and hear why others join the church and their conversion stories. It is amazing to see how the Lord is willing to bless us because we give it all to Him. And the music was amazing and just touched me.

I was able to talk to prez and sis Rodarte after and they are just my favorite, I love them so much. They just know what to say and how to help me in the moment. I love them and don't know what I would do without them. They are like my parents and I just love them!

This week I want to share with you Mosiah 16:13-15

13 And now, ought ye not to tremble and repent of your sins, and remember that only in and through Christ ye can be saved?

14 Therefore, if ye teach the law of Moses, also teach that it is a shadow of those things which are to come—

15 Teach them that redemption cometh through Christ the Lord, who is the very Eternal Father. Amen.

I love what these are saying, that He has given us all that we need to follow God do what He has asked us to do and to repent of the things that we have done wrong. He has

sacrificed it all of us and we need to remember Him and that sacrifice. What a blessing that is and what it should be for us. It is only through Christ that we can be saved. That laws and ordinances are here to help us grow and improve. But redemption cometh in and through the Holy Mosiah. Because of Him everything is possible, and what a blessing that is. The reason that I wanted to share this is the scripture that is attached to the the law of Moses, Alma 25:15-16.

15 Yea, and they did keep the law of Moses; for it was expedient that they should keep the law of Moses as yet, for it was not all fulfilled. But notwithstanding the law of Moses, they did look forward to the coming of Christ, considering that the law of Moses was a type of his coming, and believing that they must keep those outward performances until the time that He should be revealed unto them.

16 Now they did not suppose that salvation came by the law of Moses; but the law of

Moses did serve to strengthen their faith in Christ; and thus they did retain a hope through faith, unto eternal salvation, relying upon the spirit of prophecy, which spake of those things to come.

That this is something that is going to come for each and every one of us. The coming of Christ. But I love verse 16, they didn't think that salvation could come through the law but that it did. It gave them strength in their faith in Christ. And strengthened their hope and faith unto eternal life and Salvation. But we have to rely on the spirit.

Oh my goodness how powerful is that! I don't know about you but just reading these it just gives me the power and the strength. But the spirit is so strong. We are so blessed to be given commandments. They are there to help and to bless us and give us the help that we need to return to live with our Father in Heaven again. When I read this and learned that for myself I was just shocked and it gave me a new light and appreciation for the law of Moses and the commandments that God has given us.

I love you all and hope you have an amazing week! Go Springville High school football team, they are going to do amazing at state this weekend!!!
