Karaoke, and a lot of Little Miracles!

Hey everyone, I hope things are all well! This week has been a good week and some fun things have happened, 

We went and had a good lesson with Ron, Brandon, Perry, and Joseph. And then after we had a lesson all of the sudden when we were done with the lesson and were getting ready to leave Ron brought out fireworks. Let me remind you that fireworks in Nevada are illegal, they started to fire them off and that was our que to leave! Hehe don't want to get caught by the cops! 

We had two amazing lessons with Gaylene this week, she is changing and improving so much. Our lesson with her on Tuesday was so amazing we walked into her house and the spirit was different than any time that we went before. And she was happier, you could tell that she had read the scriptures and that it has started to change her. We asked her what she read, we only asked her to read the introduction, but she read the introduction and the testimony of the witnesses, so also started 1 Nephi! oh my goodness, how amazing that is! She is so amazing and she is changing. When we first went to her house she felt like she needed to have us come over because we fixed her bike and now she is loving us coming over. She usually has something really negative to say and the last two times that we have gone she has been happy and uplifting! We asked her how she has felt with us coming over and said yeah things are getting better and then we asked how she felt and she looks at us and she said I have been happier and she was

shocked, she told us that she has been telling her friends about the things that we talk about and then she turns to us and said I love having you over. Then she gasped and covered her mouth, she couldn’t believe that she had just said that! It was so funny and she is so happy, and is changing! I love to see the repentance process work in people's lives. It is so amazing and I am so blessed to be able to help people learn how they change their lives! She was also asking about a study plan that she could follow, when we showed her the Come Follow Me from last year she was so excited! She is going to follow it and it is going to help her a lot! It has made me so happy to help her out and see the spirit work in her life. I would love it if you could all pray that she starts coming to church and for her she is amazing and it would be the best thing for her! 

We were able to go and sing Karaoke with a member in one of the elders' wards! She is from the Philippines and she loves to

have the missionaries over for lunch and then she sings us songs. It is the best thing in the world, we get dinner and a show. Then each of us got to go and take our turns singing, it was such a good laugh and we got to sing our hearts out! I loved it so much! I got the elders to make a hill of ice cream to eat and then Elder Ford tried to sing with Girls Just Want to Have Fun, he had never heard it before, which is insane, but he couldn't get the beat down. It was Sister Manigan's Birthday (where we had gone for dinner), and she was dancing and singing along to all of us it was so amazing! 

We started our English class this week, and it was so much fun to be able to teach English to people who have a desire and don't have the money to! It was an amazing feeling to be able to help the people but also see them have that desire and hopefully soon enough it will turn into a desire to come unto Jesus and see what He can do for them! 

And then to cap the week off we got this amazing media referral, she wanted a blessing of healing. In 30 minutes we found some brethren to go with us to visit her. She is just wanting to have Jesus in her life and needs some help. Because of some of her decisions in life they are affecting her now and she is trying to give everything to Him, she was able to reach out to us! So we went over and they were able to give her an incredible blessing. She also talked to one of our members and asked how she can help her girls grow a relationship with God! It was so amazing she is going to read the Book of Mormon, and she wants her girls to come to

church. Yesterday I fasted for us to be able to find a family of 5 and even before the fast ended we were able to start the family of 5. He is so amazing and works in mysterious ways and I am so blessed to be able to get to know Rosa and be able to work with her! God is here to help her AND we can't wait to see how He will! 

This week I want to share with you something that Elder Mckay, from the Seventy, shared with us last night, it was so amazing! 

Judges 6:12-18

12 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? And where are all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

14 And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

16 And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

17 And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.

18 Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until you come again.

I love these verses so much, showing us that we aren't perfect, and I think you have all felt this way at some point, like Gideon . . . I don't have a lot and my family doesn't think that much of me. But God is willing to help me, help you, help everyone if we are willing to run to Him! He is going to make us mighty men and women but He is going to be able to help us defeat our

enemies, our trials and the things that we go through in life if we continue to come to Him and show Him that we are willing to give it all to Him! How amazing is that? When we are able to give our grace to God, and like it says in the scriptures, to pray unto Him that He is going to bless us and help us! I love no matter where you look in the scriptures, new or old testament, BOM, or even D&C He is there to help us, He is there. He is going to hold our hand and carry us through the hard times if we are willing to turn to him and give him our will and grace! I know that I am still learning and improving but that as I continue to run

to him, not everyday is going to be perfect but there are going to be so many good things, that it is going to outweigh the bad! I hope you all have an amazing relationship with our Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Mother, because they love you, like I do, and want the best for you! I hope you all know how amazing you are and how much each of you have changed my life. Keep being you and trying to be with Him and I can promise as you do this you will feel the love He has for you and be able to share that with others! I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!
