El Dia de Action de Gracias!!!

Hello everyone, I hope that you had an amazing Día de Action de Gracias!!! It was a really good week. Also it has been exactly a year since I had my accident with my legs. It is crazy to think that. They are looking way better and it is crazy how time flies.

Monday we had a half p-day, we got our shopping and cleaning in and then got back to work. We went with our sister training leaders and painted someone's garage. It was a lot of fun and a good way to get out of the apartment.

Most of our appointments dropped that night. They confirmed and then it didn't happen, so one of them we did a member lesson because they were fellowship. It was fun to get to know them a little better.

Tuesday we went and got all of the files printed for our English class to hand them out to the elders to give when they are street contacting.

Nothing too crazy during the day but then we had English class. We were waiting for our

students and we had 3 new students show up. They wanted to meet us and get all the information that they needed to start class next time. We were so excited all of the work that we are putting in for advertising is working out. We had a good class full of laughter and just a good time.

Wednesday we did weekly planning because we wouldn't have time on Thursday. We had an amazing lesson with Tiffany. She told us that she is going to stop smoking and because

of that everything else is going to work out for her. She will be able to get other things squared away but she is so happy and excited.

And then we had a fun call with Sister Bruch. She is so funny, has a lot of crazy thoughts but just wants someone to talk to. It is a good time for us to do something else and have this moment.

We had a phone call with Tammy. And it was

so cute, she loved what we were doing and how we go and share the word of God with everyone. She told us that she would love to learn more about our church and read more scriptures, she was so cute. We then went and knocked a lot of doors. We were able to get in contact with a few of them, we love to see what work we could do for them.

We had a cute lesson with the Christensen family. We talked about Thanksgiving and what we are thankful for. And what that means. It was cool to be able to hear everyone else's and what they love. After we called Mario, he was funny. He loves talking to us but is not sure if he wants to learn more. So we are trying to keep contact open with him. One day he will want to!

Thursday was a good day, Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun. We were able to go and have a turkey bowl with our zone. It was a lot of fun. Just so you know your girl scored a touchdown. So we know where the real talent in the family is. Wink wink!

Then we got to talk to our families and did a few more games with the district. It was fun to be able to spend time with them.

Later that day we went to the Whites and the Murray's for Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun. We had an amazing time, good company and good food. We got a little show by the white twins and then we went around and talked about what we are grateful for. It was a lot of fun to look back at the year and think about all that God has given us. What a blessing that it is. I know I need to be more grateful for all that he has done for me.

We then went to the Rodriguez, we were going to go on a walk but it was too cold. So we went inside and had a good conversation. The fireplace was on and the tree was all lit up. It was just what I love. Overall it was an amazing day and just made me so happy.

Friday we had a lesson with Sister Tyree. She is so cute, she lost track of time and thought it was 10 when it was 11, so to say the least we had a short lesson. But it was fun. We did a little more crocheting, but I love visiting with her. And then we had a good district council meeting. It is always fun to talk to other missionaries and get revelation on things we can do for the areas.

We then had exchanges, it was fun to be able

to meet up with the sisters. We were able to go and meet them at their bishops house and we finished their Christmas tree. And then I went with Sister Conover and we went and had some good Mexican food. I was in love! We had Ceviche, this was the first time that I had it and it was amazing. I love Mexican food, it just hits the right spot and then they gave us a lot of food to take home. But it was fun to be able to go over and visit people in the sisters ward and get to know them. We went and knocked on some doors. We got lost in the apartment complex, but we found our way out. Overall it was an amazing night and one I will remember. It is fun to go out with other sisters.

Then Saturday, we had a good day. We went out to

Chick-fil-a for lunch and the elders were there. It was fun to get to see them. And always a good laugh.

We then had comp study and then ran over to Monica's for English class. She was so sad she had to cancel our lesson the other day and she made us a treat and Mexican hot chocolate. It was so sweet, I always love our classes with her, never a dull moment. We had a lesson with Mike. It was good we are

working on getting his membership number and everything ready for him to get the priesthood and go to the temple. So all the lessons, and we talked about scripture study. He is doing it all on his own and it is so amazing. He is teaching us a few things. It is always good to have lessons with him.

Then we ran over to Hermana Milans house, she said that she had something for us. So we went and she had food for us to thank us for

all of the work that we are doing. It just made me want to cry and was so sweet. I just love our members. We knocked doors on our way home. We were walking to someone's house and went to talk to these people on the way and they jumped in their car because they didn't want to talk to us. Haha it is funny to see the things that people do not to talk to us. But we saw a yard turtle with a mask and got to see all of these different Christmas lights. But we love people.

And then Sunday, we had meetings and are getting everything ready for the Christmas programs. My favorite time of year I am so excited. We had amazing church meetings. The wards are amazing and the spirit is so strong.

We went to the Preze’s for dinner. They are just good company and fun to talk to. We always have a good time.

We then went to the Martinics they are fun. We introduced Sister Walker and were able to have some yummy chocolate pie with them. It was fun because we are starting to do light the world. So we had a fun lesson. On our way home we went and stopped at the STLs they had a sister with them that was going home so Sister Walker wanted to go say goodbye it was one of her companions. So it was so sweet and we all watched president's devotional. I love all the sisters.

This week I would love you all to go and watch the Christ Child to get ready for Light the World and find ways that you can share the love of God. We don't have to be members to do this. We all celebrate Christmas and know that it is a time of year that is different, it is because we all have the light of Christ with us. In 3 Nephi 18: 24-25 it says,

24 Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up—that which ye have seen me do. Behold ye see that I have prayed unto the Father, and ye all have witnessed.

25 And ye see that I have commanded that none of you should go away, but rather have commanded that ye

should come unto me, that ye might feel and see; even so shall ye do unto the world; and whosoever breaketh this commandment suffereth himself to be led into temptation.

When we hold up the light of Christ and the love of God that we have for others we are able to see them as God does. Christmas is so amazing it gives us the opportunity to find ways to love and serve others. This is my one of my favorite times of year. Make it one to remember and shine the light of God that you

have. Let others taste of the good fruit that we have which is the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Give them that joy and the love that God has. And make this a good Christmas and start if off right with light the world.

I love you all and know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ, share and let others see what you have. Because doing that is something that has blessed me so much. I don't want to hide it, I want all to know what a blessing that it is in my life. I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!
