Temple Week

Hello everyone, it’s crazy but always good, a lot of surprises and a lot of good things. Sister Walker is leaving for Uruguay this week and I was lucky to find out that I am getting a new companion for 5 days. I don't know who but I will find out soon!!

Monday was a good day, we were with the district and then we went to the Loveland’s. They have all boys and are going to have a girl soon. So cute and just happy. It was good to visit them.

One thing that I love is everyone is putting up their Christmas trees and decorations and it just makes me so happy. It is one of my favorite things in the world.

Tuesday we went up to the Lopez’s and had lunch with them again, they are so cute and so nice to help us out. They are so fun and adventure filled, I just love being able to spend time

with them. We went to the mission office to get some things for sister Walker and we got to visit with the older missionaries. And I just love them all so much it was amazing. We had a lesson with Tiffany and she is so ready to make some life changes. So I am very excited for her and taking these steps.

And then that night we had English class. I could just cry telling you about it. We had 6 new students!!!! It was amazing, all of our work for advertising is paying off. It just made me so happy. They were all starting out new and right at the beginning. Elder Perry turned to me and said I don't know Spanish, you got this. Haha lier!

But I had so much fun teaching them all it made me so happy. It is such a blessing to help all of these people.

Wednesday morning we went to the temple. I love the temple so much I can't even begin to tell you. It is my favorite place. I was blessed to be able to have it in my area and spend so much time around it. The peace that you feel and comfort is so amazing, something that you just need to go and experience for yourself. It is amazing!!! We drove with the STLs and it was a lot of fun to spend some time with them.

We went and had a lesson with Trish. Her and her husband aren't doing too well so we weren't able to go over for a while, but we finally were able to go see them, I missed her so much. She is one of my favorite people in this world.

Then we had English class with Monica, and let me tell you it was a party. She told us that she wanted to practice what it is like going to a restaurant and what she needs to say. Well she made us a two course meal, first was Ceviche and the second was shrimp and rice, and then ice cream. To say the least I was in heaven. But it was so much fun, we had music in the background and just were able to practice our English. It was a lot of fun and something I don't want to forget. We went over to the Christensen’s and for our lesson made origami hearts and then we were going to write a note in them. I love their family a lot and it was really good to see them.

Thursday was Zone Conference and what a blast it was! I felt so enlightened and edified of what I learned. President Rodarte was receiving revelation for us about what we need to do. The meeting went longer but I love it, the more time the better. I always love times like these.

And then we went and visited a lot of people. We first went to Hermana Padilla and got to practice our Spanish. And then the Walkers, oh I wish I could be a part of their family. We did a cute activity with them and I just feel at home. And then we finished the night off at the Murray's. And they are amazing. We didn't have dinner so they were so kind to feed us. And then we talked. I talked to brother Murray about football and sports and then missions while Sister Walker talked to Sister Murray. It was just a good time to spend time with members and help them where they need.

Friday was a crazy day, someone's family was in town. But I didn't see them. I was happy they were able to come down and go to the football game! How fun is that.

We had district council and then we went to the mission office. The first thing I got was a big mom hug from Sister Rodarte and she said that it was from my mom. It made me so happy. I got a few boxes from home and the little things like that as a missionary make me so happy!!! And then I had my interview, I could 100% say that it is my favorite thing about the transfer. It was fun he first looked at me and said you are so small. You dad is so big and tall, I laughed and I said I get that from my mom. And then he said so you think you could beat up your sister, she looks like a beast. Me "of course I could!!!” And when I get home and hit the gym then 100% I can. Then I showed him a picture of Bradyn and Nick and he was in shock. Some big football boys. And then looked at the phone and then at me and said you look just like your brother, talking about Nick. I have never got that one before but I am not mad! haha It was so fun for him to visit with my family and have that. I had an amazing interview and got so much out of it, a good time to talk and received revelation. I love my Prez. and his wife so much!!! No words can describe how I feel, they make me so happy!

We then had a phone call with Vincent and Tehani, they are so cute and so ready. We are just helping them get ready for when they come to church and meet the ward. And then we will get them baptized. I am so excited for them, they just want to be sealed as a family. It just makes my heart so happy.

And then we went and visited with the Rodigez’s, we just had a good visit. We practiced our Spanish and helped the grandma with a few things. Overall it was an amazing day.

Saturday we had a lessons with a family that is less active. It was really cool, they asked why we came and we told them that we just wanted to see them and it made them so happy. We are going to meet with them again next week! So a lot of progress.

We then went and did service with the STLs and it was a lot of fun. It was a school Christmas party, and we were able to help clean up. It was good to be able to see the environment and spend some good time outside in good weather! To say the least I loved it. And then we went and had dinner with Hermana Padilla, it was a lot of fun.

That night we went and knocked on doors and called a few people. Sister Sosa we called her, she has been having a hard time so it was really good for us to call her.

Sunday was good, we love a good Sunday full of meetings. And then we had dinner with the Taylor's. They are my favorite. We had an amazing meal and just had a good time talking with them. And then we went to the Christensen’s and had a lesson with Mike. We got all of his information set up for him, we got him logged into everything. And are starting to help him with his family tree. Overall a good week!

I want to share with you all this week D&C 138:22-26

22 Where these were, darkness reigned, but among the righteous there was peace;

23 And the saints rejoiced in their redemption, and bowed the knee and acknowledged the Son of God as their Redeemer and Deliverer from death and the chains of hell.

24 Their countenances shone, and the radiance from the presence of the Lord rested upon them, and they sang praises unto his holy name.

25 I marveled, for I understood that the Savior spent about three years in his ministry among the Jews and those of the house of Israel, endeavoring to teach them the everlasting gospel and call them unto repentance;

26 And yet, notwithstanding his mighty works, and miracles, and proclamation of the truth, in great power and authority, there were but few who hearkened to his voice, and rejoiced in his presence, and received salvation at his hands.

I love these verses!!! The love that all these Prophets testify and share their love for the Savior Jesus Christ. He is the one that started it all, the gospel and what we teach.

I love that in verse 22, it talks about when we are doing what we need to, we are going to have peace in this life.

I just love the way that it describes the Savior, that they praised Him and bowed down to Him and thanked Him for this plan for the life that He has given them and the blessing it is in our life's.

I love how the Savior is here for all of us and he is willing to do anything for us. And we should share the gospel as He did. With love and compassion for others. Helping them find ways that they can be happy and have the gifts of eternal life.

I love you all and hope you think about why the Savior is important to you! I love you all and hope you have a good week!
