Oh my, can that all happen in a week?

Hello everyone, I hope that you are having a good week. This whole week has been a little crazy, but it would never be fun if it wasn't crazy right? Transfer news is, I will be staying with my new companion I got this week and we are going to be Sister Training Leaders. So I am so excited about that. Crazy to think that it will be happening but it will be good for me.

But to start off, Monday we had Mini Exchanges with the STLs and it was much needed and good. I was able to go and visit some people in their area and then we went and got hot chocolate at an activity the YSA ward was doing. It was a good night, we spent the night and had a good time together.

Tuesday morning we had some meetings and then went up to the Lopez's and had lunch with them one last time

before Sister Walker left for her mission to Uruguay. It was so much fun. They made yummy tacos and we had great conversation. I love the Lopez's so much they are amazing. Then right after that we went and got Sister Walker a covid test. She had to have a test 48 hours before she left. It is so funny to see them do it, I am blessed to have never had to be tested, I am grateful for it! After that we went straight to the mission office to finish all of the paperwork that she needed for Uruguay. While she took care of her paperwork I did some work in the area.

That night we were on our way to a lady who is less active and we saw this girl. It was dark and raining and she was all alone. So we went and talked to her, she

seemed so sweet and was just talking, I love the smell of the rain because it is such a desert here. It was nice to get to know her.

Then we went to Marissa's house and her cute mom made us some food. It was so much fun to get to know them and what they like to do. It was so cool because her sister is on a mission right now and she said that she wants to start coming back to church. She feels like it would be a good way for her to continue to learn and grow and just a good next step.

After her home we had English class. It was hard because some of our students were gone, but we had 4 students. They are so cute and just want to learn. It was

so much fun to teach them and continue to build a relationship with them!

Wednesday was an insane day to say the least. We went back to the mission office to finalize everything, and that took a while. We then had a lesson with Tiffany, I love her so much and she has made so much progress and shows this is something she wants. It is cool to be able to watch others take those steps. We then went and got a few more

things done and went back to the mission office for Sister Walker's last interview. She had her interview and when they came out I turned to President and I asked him who my next companion is going to be. He looked at me and said give me a minute. They took some pictures and then he took the APs into his office and I think that talked about it. It was for a while, but they also called my new companion to tell her. Well, they opened the door and the assistants came and got me. We

walked in the office, it was President and Sister Rodarte, me and the assistants. And they told me that my new companion was going to be Sister Snow and I was going to pick her up and then go and pack her things the next day. He asked if I was a little nervous? But I was excited. After we talked to the Rodartes a little bit and then me and Sister Walker went to this place called Houston's Hot Chicken. It was really good. Meatball (Nick) suggested that I go eat there so we decided to go for her last night. (Nick and Bradyn were driving home through Vegas and stopped at Houston’s Hot Chicken, Nick said it’s the best chicken he’s had!) After that, we went and had a few of our lessons and then went and picked up my new companion. It was weird but good. Just a lot happening in a little bit of time. We got her and talked to the sisters for

a little bit and then we had to go and take Sister Walker to the STLs apartment to stay the night so she could get to the airport the next morning. Sad to say goodbye but I am excited for her. Then me and Sister Snow went back to my apartment, her new apartment, and we got settled.

Thursday we got going we had a lesson with Trish and it was so much fun. She is so cute, she was able to get to know Sister Snow and

what she likes. But she told her story about her baptism. And it is so much fun for her to tell about her baptism, she loves that day so much. We had an amazing visit. She is such a missionary and just wants to share the gospel with everyone. It is so cool to watch her and see her share that with others. After that we went back to Sister Snow’s old apartment and got her all packed up and ready to go. It was so sad but a good next adventure. But what is so crazy is that Sister Snow is also a reassigned missionary, She was originally called to Guatemala. She has been working on her paperwork for her Visa to go there. So we had to go to the mission office and work on a few things to get her ready. I might be sending another one off, haha. We went home and started planning things for the area. It was fun to be able to see it all happening and

getting some fresh eyes in it all. That night we were able to go over to a less actives home and see how she is doing. She hasn't been too well lately and so we are trying to help her feel loved.

Friday morning we had two lessons. We had one with the Selleck's and we were able to see what they need to be taught. It was so much fun to get to know them and what they are striving for. We talked about getting them

to church this next week and helping them prepare for baptism. They are so amazing and I love working with them. And then a phone call with Gustavo. He is a man that we call and share scriptures with. It is fun to be able to do that.

We had district council, that was a lot of fun to be able to continue to share and receive revelation. After we went and got Sister Snows fingerprints done and then some work at the mission office.

And then that night we had our Spanish Branch's Christmas party. It was so much fun. We helped get all of the food ready and serve it. It was so much fun to see a lot of people there and loving and supporting each other. We also had two of our English class students come. They loved it and got to know some of the ward members also. And of course there was a piƱata there. It was bigger than some of the kids there. They loved it so much and were hitting the life out of it.

I always love the Branch parties. They are so much fun, everyone comes and they are so happy. Never a dull moment.

Saturday morning we had our Serene ward party. It was PJ's and Pancakes, so much fun. A lot of singing and getting to know more of the ward members. I love them all so much and am so blessed to be able to work with them all!!!

We had a lesson with a less active family. It was awesome because they also came to the Christmas party and that is big for them. We went and were able to visit with them. We had a whole lesson plan but I felt that I needed to share a quote that Elle shared with me at the beginning of my mission. It was so cool because it was just what their mom needed to hear. They are beginning to open up to us a lot and want us to come to their home more. And the best part is that they also came to church

the next day. They are progressing so fast. It is so cool to be able to see it and help them have that desire to come back but also feel the spirit they used to have in their life.

That night we had a lesson with Mike, our recent convert. None of our fellowship showed up so we did it outside in the parking lot. It was really cold but a lot of fun to get to know him more and talk about the atonement of Jesus Christ with him. He is progressing so much

and is going to receive the Priesthood next week. We went over and knocked on the door of a less active family, they were very welcoming and so we went inside. We are going back over and are going to start teaching there son the missionary lessons. So we are excited for them. And then we called a bunch of people and had some phone call lessons with them!!!

Sunday, I love this time of year so much,

getting to sing Christmas songs and hymns it is such an amazing thing. I love all of the members so much and Sacrament Meeting was amazing,. They talked about the articles of faith and went more in-depth about each one. And then Relief Society was amazing, we have amazing teachers in our ward and it is so much fun to hear from them.

After that we went to the Garcia-Rodrigez families and were able to visit them. I love their family and the relationship that we have. We were able to spend some time with them and talk about Jesus and Christmas!

Then we went and had dinner at the Whites and the Murray's. They are also like family. It is always fun to be with them and hear all of the jokes and stories. After that we went and caroled to some of the older people in the ward with almost all of the Serene ward. It was so much fun to get to know the ward more and spend some time with them. It was super cold, haha for Vegas. But we got to visit with everyone and some good hot chocolate.

Overall a good and crazy week, we are just letting all of the adventures continue.

This week I want to share Article of Faith 13.

13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things,

we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

This article of faith is split up into three parts, the first being the attributes of Christ. All things that we want and are striving for. To be honest and not to tell a lie. Helping others and not saying something that will not hurt them in the long run. True, making it a point to be pure in heart. True to who we are and what we

believe. Chaste, being clean in our actions and our thoughts to others but also ourselfs. Benevolent, a state of doing good. I think this is an awesome one and not one that I thought about before. Virtuous, keeping our covenants and being worthy to enter into the house of the lord. And doing good to all men, being kind, having patience and loving all. It can be hard but doing it for God and serving the way he would.

The next part, hope. Hope in and expectation in Christ. This means having faith and trusting in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and all that it has done for us. Giving Him our will and knowing with Him that all will be made right. Having the three strong pillars in our life, like a stool that has 3 legs and is strong! Faith, hope and charity. Becoming more like our savior Jesus Chirst ( Moroni 7:40-43)

And the last one enduring to the end. That continual process and doing it over and over again. Knowing that it is not over that we are here to become better and become like our Savior Jesus Christ. ( 2 Nephi 31:20) Knowing that we are going to make mistakes but if there are all things that we are striving for, it is all going to be alright. Becoming like our Savior Jesus Christ and not giving up. Making sure that we have a belief and testimony in the doctrine and principles and not in the church or the people.

And making sure that we are apply the Atonement into our lifves. What a powerful thing that is.

I love you all so much and hope you have an amazing week!
